Senior Accountant
A Leading chemical Company located in Middlesex County, New Jersey has an excellent opportunity for a Senior Accountant with responsibilities as follows:
- Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to accounts
- Document business transactions
- Analyze financial information detailing assets, liabilities, and capital
- Prepare balance sheet, profit and loss statements
- Summarize and interpret current and projected company financial position for managers in the US and abroad
- Monitor compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), IFRS and company procedures
- Act as a liaison for outsourced tax services
- Fixed assets, payroll and benefit accounting
- Review, investigate, and correct errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports
- Provide support to install, modify, document, and coordinate implementation of accounting systems and accounting control procedures
- Provide support for devising and implementing general accounting systems
- Provide support for internal and external audits
- Make recommendations regarding the accounting of reserves, assets and expenditures
- Conduct studies and submit recommendations for improving the accounting operation
- Collect appropriate data for use tax and prepares various tax reports
- Perform statistical analyses to determine trends, estimates, and significant changes, and writes narrative reports explaining findings
- Perform bank accounts reconciliations and monthly inter-company netting
Qualified candidates will possess:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, CPA a plus
- 3+? years of related experience
- Experience in a mid-size company preferred
- Working knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS
- Strong analytical skills
- Advanced Excel knowledge and working knowledge of other Microsoft Office applications
- Systems skills and SAP experience desired
- Proven written and oral presentation skills
- Ability to interact in an international, team-oriented organization
- Strong interpersonal skills
