CITY/STATE: CA 95630POSITION TYPE: Full Time, EmployeeJOB CATEGORY: Accounting/Finance/InsuranceEDUCATION LEVEL: Associate DegreeSALARY: 40,000.00 - 45,000.00 USD /year REFERENCE CODE: 635804SS AP Analyst     Position Responsibilities:Analyst will be responsible for performing Accounts Payable 1099 processing, Vendor maintenance and analysis. Research, track and process 1099s in accordance with IRS requirements, create and maintain process documentation, build adhoc queries for reporting and data requests, and perform system testing. Execute monthly audits to ensure adherence to internal and external audit compliance requirements. Evaluate and recommend changes to Accounts Payable policies and procedures to streamline processes and enhance automation. Work closely with Accounts Payable management/staff and other Finance departments in support of time bound processes.Required Skills & Experience:-Strong working knowledge of 1099 processing-Strong working knowledge of accounting fundamentals-Strong analytical and reconciliation skills-Excellent verbal and written communication skills-Quick learner and self starter who has the ability to work independently or within a team environment-Accustomed to working with deadlines-Ability to work in a high volume, fast paced environment-Detail oriented and the ability to maintain a high level of accuracy-Excellent Excel, Word, and 10-key skills-Fundamental Access skills-Ability to write and document a process-Strong working knowledge of Accounts Payable systems, preferable PeopleSoft Vendor maintenance-Demonstrated experience serving internal and external customers/suppliers-Associate Degree in Finance or equivalent work experience Desired Skills & Experience:-1099 processing experience for a large company-4-5 years accounts payable and/or general ledger experience preferred-Works well in a team environment-Ability to adapt quickly to new procedures and systems-Familiarity with quality tools and principles-Fundamental knowledge of desktop software packages designated as necessary to do the job About Ledgent Ledgent is a full service accounting and finance placement firm offering temporary, temporary-to-hire and direct hire staffing services.
