ASSISTANT CONTROLLER

A large privately-held Alhambra / South El Monte company is seeking an Assistant Controller in the ever-growing accounting department of the firm.  The ideal candidate shall be both energetic and self-motivated.

 

Responsibilities:  Assist the Controller in managing all aspects of the company’s accounting functions Oversee accurate and timely financial statement reporting, financial analysis, budgeting and forecasting Oversee account reconciliations and maintain audit schedules to ensure audit and regulatory compliance Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger Lead the monthly close process Oversee the AP / AR and payroll functions Prepare various custom reports as required

 

Requirements:At least a Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance and strong knowledge of GAAP Minimum of 2 years in a supervisory role Excellent computer skills  Strong analytical, problem-solving and management skills Exceptional verbal and written communication skills High energy and proactive approach; ability to multi-task and work cross-functionally Integrity and discretion in safeguarding confidential information Desire and potential to advance to a Controller positionMBA or CPA is a plus
