Accountant II (Government Billing)

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Processing billings for Govt and Commercial programs, analyzing profitability (including profit fluctuations) and monthly recording and analyzing of revenue and cost of goods sold. Acts as liaison between Accounting, Program Finance and Contracts. Responsible for supporting frequent government and commercial audits in regards to Billing/AR. Other accounting functions and special assignments as required.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent work experience. Three years of experience in AR/Billing in a government contractor environment. Experience with Progress payments, DD250 submissions, and electronic voucher submittals. Experience analyzing profitability on government and commercial projects, including both cost type and fixed price contracts. Experience using an ERP system. DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS: Competency in Microsoft Word and Outlook. High skill level in Excel. Eight or more years experience in AR/Billing in a government contractor environment for both services and manufacturing. Experience with Manugistics Network (MTO) /Western Data Systems (WDS) business software. Project financial analyses experience a definite plus.
