Accounting Analyst - Call 562/809-1419Description: You don't have to be a star to be in this show! Volt is seeking an Accounting Analyst to work in for an entertainment giant located in Glendale. Primary purpose is to oversee and perform work related to affiliate sales division. You will also perform daily processing of cable license fee payments. Review and reconciliation of all fee payments by affiliate for each cable channel. Direct contact with cable affiliate accounting and sales department. Work with and engage with the legal and contract departments in resolving cable affiliate activities. Complete monthly schedules and balancing the GL as required for reporting purposes. Will assist Finance Analysts with monthly affiliate reporting for budgets, forecasts and 5-year planning. Review and assist with ad-hoc projects on Excel and Access. Scope of job, role in setting and communicating strategy, level of decision making, types of analysis and problem solving, key roles in management of internal or external relationships, role in creating/determining content, communication, etc. Apply daily cash to invoice level for assigned accounts. Subscriber entry and payment reconciliation by entering the reported subscribers and payments to a system level manually and prepare uploads for top accounts to do the same. Reconcile differences in billing to actual payments. Balance accounts receivable by researching outstanding amounts with Contracts and Corporate Credit Department to either adjust or keep as a collectable balance for Corporate Credit Department to collect. Generate monthly reporting. Reconcile cash, revenue and A/R balances to the general ledger in SAP and perform bank reconciliation's. Complete ad hoc projects as necessary with contracts in system research and Finance Analysts with audit research or with the monthly/quarterly revenue analysis. Requirements: Must have SAP experience and demonstrated knowledge of accounting and finance principles. Entertainment background with cable experience desired. Must have 3-5 years experience as an Analyst. Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
