Accounts Payable Specialist - 714/662-1988Description: Volt Services Group in Costa Mesa is currently seeking a broad-minded and successful Accounts Payable Specialist to work for a well established company in the city of Irvine. The chosen candidate will support the Vendor and the Employee Expense Payment Processes. Will be responsible for compiling amounts owed from invoices and recording vouchers. Also responsible for maintaining payments records/support and employee expense reports/receipts. The breakdown of the job will be 60% process AP Invoice/Voucher. 20% Customer service and vendor follow-up. 10% - Research invoice exceptions relating to PO funding limits/Receipts. 5% Support month-end close process. 5% Ad-Hoc Projects, as needed. Process designated AP Invoice & employee expenses. Resolve vendor and internal customer current issues. Research required exception reports. Comply with AP & Accounting policy/guidelines. Overall processing integrity. Assist in maintaining compliance with internal SOX controls. Participate in projects related to process and efficiency improvements. Requirements: The ideal candidate must have a Degree in Accounting or other related field preferred and/or 2+ years of accounts payable experience. Above average skills in Microsoft Excel. Prior experience with People Soft Accounts Payable applications is a plus. Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines. Accuracy, discretion, excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong analytical aptitude.
