Accounts Receivable Supervisor

The company is seeking a Full-time Accounts Receivable/ Credit Supervisor for the Finance and Accounting Department to proactively assist in implanting company’s accounts receivable, credit, and collection polices and procedures.

Job Overview:

* Experienced required: 3-5 years of AR/ Credit and Collection experience; and 2 years of Supervisory experience; familiar with A/R and G/L procedures
* Salary: $55,000 to $58,000
* Education: Bachelor degree or higher
* Special Recruitment: Requires travel and overtime

Job Description

* Generating letters, calling sales personnel/ customers responsible for past due accounts, changing credit limits,
* Obtaining information necessary for the Company’s regulatory requirements,
* Assisting in resolution of billing & payment issues,
* Performing credit checks to new or existing accounts to minimize the company’s credit risks,
* Assist in various collection methods (i.e. collection agency, law suit). 
* Assist the Credit & Collection Manager in managing the account receivable area
* Payment applications and research in resolving billing/payment issues, as well as daily/month-end closing and reconciliation of AR with general ledger. 
* Report to Credit & Collections Manager and work with minimum supervision.
*Assist in development, implementation and maintenance of Credit/ Collection and A/R policies and procedures.  Makes recommendations for improvements.  This will apply to all branches.
* Assist in assigning workload evenly to each AR Clerk and in monitoring such activities so that improvements for efficiency can be made.
* Credit evaluation of new & existing accounts to include education and training of Sales personnel as well as customers.  This includes running Equifax Credit Reports, or reviewing other reports/ sources in establishing credit lines and identifying any risks, and obtaining appropriate manager approval, per the Company’s guidelines.
* Ensure that new account request forms are fully completed and copies of resale tax certificate and liquor license are provided if applicable.  Follows through until these are received by HDQ.
* Responsible for assisting in overseeing daily payment application to be processed accurately and on a timely basis.
* Responsible to assist in overseeing analysis for daily balancing and providing reports to General Account, month-end A/R to G/L balancing, and analyzes A/R general ledger accounts.
* Performs special projects/ assignments as neededQualification:

* Bachelor degree in business, finance or accounting, or equivalent experience; 3-5 years of prior accounts receivable, credit and collections experience
* At least one year of supervisory experience
* Familiar with A/R and G/L procedures
* Proficient in basic software required (i.e. excel, word, outlook)
* Knowledge and understanding of basic business concept essential
