Assistant Controller

Description

Ÿ Assist with month-end close process

Ÿ Prepare and/or review general ledger account reconciliations

Ÿ Assist with external auditor review of the company records

Ÿ Assist the controller with improving processes within the Finance Department including development and maintenance of internal controls and policies/procedures

Ÿ Prepare detailed monthly billings and journal entries

Ÿ Handle other duties and special projects as assigned

Ÿ Responsible for  standardization, automation and process improvements to the current billing process

Requirements

Ÿ Bachelors in Accounting or Finance required, CPA a plus

Ÿ Experience in public accounting preferred

Ÿ Minimum of 3 years experience as a senior accountant or higher

Ÿ Must be proficient with Microsoft Office applications with strong knowledge and experience using advanced Microsoft Excel features

Ÿ Strong communication and organizational skills required

Ÿ Experience with report writing software such as Crystal Reports or development of report specifications a plus

Ÿ Prior experience in the financial services industry a plus
