Position Description

The Assistant Director of Finance supervises and directs the financial activities of the hotel, safeguards the assets, and prepares all financial reports in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.​ Also serves as a financial advisor to the Hotel Management team and to Ownership.​ This position requires a combination of experience and education equivalent to a BA or BS degree in accounting as well as 3-5 years experience in hotel accounting.​



REQUIREMENTS:

· At least 3 years decentralized experience in a Full Service Hotel Assistant Director of Finance, Assistant Controller or Controller position required.​

·

· Fully decentralized financial reporting on profit, cash management, fixed asset schedules, ownership relations.​ Must personal and current experience developing and handling all financial statements, reconciliation reports, closing, general Ledger and Balance Sheets.​



· Must be currently employed at the corporate level or on property with full service hotel experience.​



RESPONSIBILITIES(including but not limited to):



· Experience managing large team of 6 or more.​



· Responsible for focusing on the profitability of the business, maintaining accurate and timely financial reporting, ensuring acceptable levels on internal control, ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, and safeguarding owners/​investors assets.​



· Prepare and coordinate monthly forecasts and outlooks, including, but not limited to, quarterly reforecasts for owner and any similar reports for property.​



· Prepare budget forms for both owner and property budgets and assist the Controller in the completion of the entire budget packages.​



· Review financial reports in accordance with reporting calendars and insure that all reports are submitted on a timely basis.​



· Prepare all monthly, and year-end reports, including tax reporting packages.​ Maintain the books of accounts for owner and management company.​
