Job Summary:
Leads and manages the business development activities, meets/exceeds financial center(s) sales and service goals and provides leadership and guidance to personnel to ensure goal performance expectations are met. Majority of time should be devoted to outside sales calls and business development.
Essential Functions:
· Meets or exceeds financial center sales goals by growing deposit base and developing new consumer/ commercial and small business relationships and motivating staff to expand existing relationships through the sale of additional products/services.
· Ensures staff provides superior service to the customers by servicing transactional needs, using the CNA process, maintaining confidentiality and responding to customer questions/requests in a timely manner.
· Generates consumer and commercial lending activities by completing loan applications and approving within lending authority or coordinating with appropriate personnel for approval.
· Mentors/develops staff by providing regular feedback on performance, providing opportunities for development, writing reviews, making recommendations to reward performance exceeding standards and handling employee disciplinary issues in a professional, objective and impartial manner.
· Accountable for managing the financial center budget process by preparing annual budget goals within corporate guidelines and managing income, expenses and customer profitability.
· Represents the financial center in the local community by participating in civic/community events/activities.
· Conducts sales meetings as part of developing a strong sales culture.
Secondary Functions:
· Ensures operational and staffing levels are adequate to meet needs by conducting interviews and hiring staff, complying with federal, state, and local employment laws and promoting equal employment opportunity efforts.
· Oversees the operation of the financial center to ensure compliance with the Privacy Policy, bank regulatory, operational, and security policies/procedures including updating the disaster plan in a timely manner, and that staff is adequately trained in following procedures and reporting safety/security issues.
· Increases financial center efficiency and staff knowledge by ensuring employees are properly trained in banking transactions, customer service skills, telephone etiquette and company philosophy.
· Contributes to the team effort by working on special projects/reports, performing other job-related duties, and accomplishing related results.
Standards:
· Performs all standards of financial center Service Manager.
· Aggressively strives to achieve Small Business Commercial loan goals, Commercial Loan Referral Production goals and LIS goals for office on a consistent basis as evidenced by sales reports.
· Office consistently meets deposit mix and all other deposit, consumer loans, fee income, and referral goals as evidenced by sales reports.
· Consistently holds CSR’s, Financial Center Supervisor, and Financial Center Service Manager accountable for meeting personal sales goals as evidenced by financial center’s achieving goals and coaching forms.
· Actively pursues business development opportunities within market and consistently establishes new profitable customer relationships as evidenced by financial center’s achieving goals.
· Demonstrates the ability to make results-oriented business sales calls as evidenced by % of overall goals met on appropriate categories on Sales Production goals.
· Is actively involved in the community and finds ways to leverage those relationships into networking opportunities that result in new business as evidenced by sales reports.
· Financial center consistently receives satisfactory semi-annual audits and internal audits.
· Becomes qualified for increased loan authority from both Consumer and Commercial Lending within 1 year.
· Employee performance reviews are through, accurate and submitted prior to due date.
· Develops Financial Center Service Manager to prepare for next step by coaching in all aspects of financial center management with special emphasis on business development calling skills as evidenced by the promotability of the Service Manager.
· Provides individual coaching to staff as evidenced by documentation in personnel file.
· Ensures staff attends all mandatory training within timeline specified and additional training classes within reasonable timelines.
· Sets the standard for staff on professionalism, customer service, teamwork, attendance, and punctuality as evidenced by management observation.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
· Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent business experience required.
· Minimum of 3 years combination banking, management and sales experience required, experience with external business sales calls preferred.
· Must consistently be meeting established sales goals.
· Ability to utilize sales techniques to expand banking relationships, strong knowledge of bank operations/products, bank software and compliance regulations required.
· Ability to develop/expand new and existing commercial/consumer and small business relationships required.
· Exhibits excellent abilities to motivate others, effectively lead and strong decision-making skills.
· Professional manner, well groomed, business-like appearance and excellent verbal/written communication skills required.
· Good basic computer skills and the ability to utilize industry-related software is required.
· Flexibility to participate in civic/community activities, work a flexible schedule and travel based on financial center need is required.
