Business Controller, North America Operations Position is located in Vaisala Boulder office Position Summary:Vaisala is a successful global environmental measurements company that provides solutions for meteorology, environmental sciences, traffic and industry. Vaisala North American Operations, part of the Vaisala Global Operations team, has an immediate opportunity to compliment its team with the addition of a Business Controller. The overview of the role is to take full responsibility of the management accounting in the Vaisala North America Operations organization. As a member of the North America Operations Management team, you will have an important role in the strategic planning, development and implementation process. You will also liaise closely with the other members of the Operations Management team to ensure timely and accurate reports in order to allow for the smooth and efficient execution to fulfill customer commitments. We are seeking a proven enthusiastic manager who will be responsible for leading and participating in development and improvement projects, preparing estimates, monthly follow-ups and various financial analyses and also developing and maintaining our Balanced Scorecard measurement system. This position will report to the Head of Operations for North America, with reporting also through to the Controller, Global Operations, to ensure the continued harmonization of operating and best practices globally. We are looking for someone who meets the following requirements: ·  Minimum of 5 years experience in management accounting·  BS degree in applicable field·  Excellent analytical and positive approach to problem solving·  Excellent understanding of ERP systems (Oracle preferred) with added benefit from working with the implementation of a new ERP system·  Excellent understanding and working knowledge of MS Office suite products, in particular Excel and Power Point·  Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work within various teams to assimilate information·  Excellent time management skills; ability to complete projects within defined time criteria·  Excellent task management skills; ability to work and lead projects on your own initiative·  Excellent financial background; ability to measure project activities against defined costs and revenue and work with internal Finance team to report accurate project progress to support the PMO requirements·  Willingness to travel in the U.S. and internationally up to 20% (estimation)  To apply for this position go to www.vaisala.com/careers/openpositions and complete the application form by August 15, 2008.
