CONTRACTS ADMINISTRATOR
SUMMARY:
The Contracts Administrator’s main responsibility is to administer contracts and subcontracts in conjunction with the Contracts Manager. Also performs ad hoc responsibilities as directed by the Contracts Manager and Chief Financial Officer.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Performs cradle to grave contract administration and contract management functions for a diverse variety of government and commercial contracts and subcontracts for a variety of contract types, sizes, and complexity: fixed price, time and materials, cost reimbursement, IDIQ, GWAC/MACs, GSA Schedules.Creates, reviews, and edits contracts and subcontracts, task orders, amendments, and modifications of various types and complexity.Organizes and maintains contractual documentation and correspondence for all corporate contracts, subcontracts, and proposal filesPrepares contractual correspondence to customers and subcontractors. Reviews and/or develops Non-Disclosure, Teaming Agreements, Consulting Agreements and other business agreements as required.Analyzes Request for Proposal (RFP’s) and participates in proposal efforts.Reviews and analyzes potential teaming partner business agreements.Receives technical direction from Contracts Manager relative to contract administration and proposal efforts. Interfaces with organizations on a routine basis concerning pertinent contract issues.Communicates directly with Program Managers in the development and administration of prime contracts and subcontracts.Responsible for the management of recurring contract reports and maintenance of contracts database. Maintains liaison between contracting officers throughout technical organizations on all contract related items.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Required:Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or other applicable major desired. Work experience will be considered in lieu of degree.At least five (5) years hands-on experience in the administration of contracts and subcontracts in the federal government contracting arena.Requires a working knowledge and understanding of government contract laws and applicable federal acquisition regulations.Requires the ability to make informed decisions, manage and prioritize workload and meet deadlines independently. Working environment is often with short turnaround times and must handle multiple projects, contracts and subcontracts simultaneously.Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), and experience working on all major contract types utilized by the federal government. Proficiency with computer based applications (MS Office, Internet).
Preferred:Five plus (5+) years hands-on experience in the administration of contracts and subcontracts in the federal government contracting arena. Proficiency with contract administration database applications.Professional certification(s) through NCMA. Proficiency with contract administration database applications, especially CONTRAXX.
SECURITY REQUIREMENTS:
Employee may be subject to a Department of Defense background security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to effectively communicate and to convey a professional and positive image with all internal and external customers to include TWD personnel, government and commercial clientele, and various suppliers/vendors. Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
