Commercial Credit Manager

 

$700 million per year Sacramento petroleum marketing company seeks a commercial credit manager with a background in financial analysis and experience managing high value receivables in a low margin, high volume business.  The successful candidate will have strong management skills.  Legal experience with collections is a plus. 

 

Primary Responsibilities

• Qualifies new customers and establishes credit lines for customer accounts according to company policies.

• Monitors credit and applies controls as necessary to control credit risk.

• Manages the collection of accounts receivable.

• Arranges security for specific accounts with letters of credit, deeds of trust, etc.

• Arranges for forced collections through collection agencies and other direct methods.

 

Skills:

• Excellent administrative and communications skills.

• Ability to manage multiple projects to completion with sound business judgment.

• Effective research and problem solving skills.

• Ability to prepare and present results for senior management.

• Microsoft Excel proficiency.

• Knowledge of generally accepted collection practices and legal processes/limitations.

• Proactive, self-starter who has the ability to motivate and manage others.

 

This is a full time exempt position, compensation is based on experience with a competitive benefits package.
