Commission / Compensation Analyst: Hedge Fund

 

Working within corporate accounting of a global buy-side firm

 

Responsibilities:

 

· Assist in the preparation of the monthly trader’s compensation accrual

· Provide monthly income statement and balance sheet analyses of trading revenue, expense, and accrued bonuses

· Review monthly trading execution reports

· Program, test and calculate all new trader compensation deals

· Ad-hoc compensation/financial reporting and analysis

· Maintain and reconcile deferred compensation balances

· Identify, recommend and implement process improvements to enhance quality, control, efficiency in procedures and systems

 

Requirements:

 

· 2-5 years prior Accounting, Compensation and/or Commissions experience is required.  Exposure to Financial Services is a preferred.

· Excellent accounting skills and experience, strong communication (written and verbal), analytical and spreadsheet skills.

· Strong work ethic, attention to detail, ability to manage multiple priorities combined with problem-solving skills are also required.

· Positive, team oriented attitude with flexibility to manage change and identify opportunities for improvement is essential.

· BS or BA is required
