Comptroller/Corporate Financial Administrator
Duties: Responsible for financial affairs of the organization and prepares financial analyses of operations, including interim and final financial statements with supporting schedules for the guidance of management. The Comptroller/CFA is responsible for the company’s financial plans and policies, accounting practices, maintenance of fiscal records and preparation of financial reports and tax filings.The position involves supervision over general accounting and budgetary controls. Essential functions: details development, analysis and interpretation of statistical and accounting information in order to appraise operating results in terms of profitability, performance against budget and other matters bearing on the fiscal soundness and operating effectiveness of the organization. Responsible for evaluating the performance of subordinate personnel. Reviews and recommends training requirements for supporting staff to keep the staff at the highest level of skill necessary to meet company needs and objectives. Maintains the company’s books and records on all company transactions and assets. Determines depreciation rates to apply to capitalized items and advises management on desirable operational adjustments due to tax revisions. In accordance with the corporate executive initiatives, establishes major economic objectives and policies for the company. Prepares reports that outline the company’s financial position in the areas of income, expenses and earnings based on past, present and future operations. Furnishes internal reports, revises and updates reports to be more useful and efficient, and furnishes external reports as necessary. Coordinates and directs the preparation of the budget and financial forecast, institutes and maintains other planning and control procedures, and analyzes and reports variances. Supports the development of corporate policies and procedures for the Finance and Accounting Department. Responsible for tax planning and compliance with all federal, state and local corporate, payrolls, and other applicable taxes. Serves as the main interface to the IRS and all federal, state and local tax authorities. Serves as the main point of contact to respond to all DCAA requests and data calls. Prepares company cost incurred expenditure reports for submission to DCAA. Develops all necessary reports and interfaces with DCAA on all financial adjustments and claims. Establishes forward pricing rate for approval by DCAA and DCMA. Evaluates and recommends insurance coverage for protection against property losses and potential liabilities. Oversees and executes all corporate leases.
Required Skills:
· CPA certification and Government Contracting experience and past experience interfacing with DCAA strongly preferred.
· 10 years experience in financial management.
· Excellent computer skills and communication skills both verbal and written.
Education:Candidate shall have BA/BS Degree in Accounting or Finance.
