Job Description Our San Diego office is seeking a Controller in the Wealth Managemetn division. The position entails the following: Ensure accurate and timely recording of accounting transactions and the administration of accounting procedures to include: the preparation of consolidated balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, and the development of budget and forecast comparisons.• Provide monthly analysis of financial statements for Wealth Management• Redesign financial management reports to provide the executive team with timely and meaningful information for managing the business• Coordinate the recording of day-to-day transactions in the general ledger and supportive systems including:o Accounts Payable and Cash Disbursementso Accounts Receivable and Cash Receiptso Time Management & Billingo Payroll• Ensure implementation of proper internal accounting controls• Manage the budget process and preparation of the budget package for Wealth Management• Prepare consolidated GAAP financial statements and other various monthly reports• Prepare monthly management reports and financial reporting package and forward to corporate within monthly deadline• Participate in the review and control function of the accounting process to include: the review of general ledgers, monitoring significant transactions and balances, and performing account reconciliations• Compile year-end tax data • Participate in Wealth Management executive committee meetings as needed• Participate in industry meetings to stay current with trends in Wealth Management• Develop financial models to support the analysis of various division initiativesQualifications:• Four year degree in relevant field of study• 5-7 years experience in the financial services sector• Requires solid knowledge and experience with all aspects of accounting principles• Proficiency in Oracle software or general business and accounting software• Experience in working with spreadsheets• Ability to record and report all financial transactions• Effective communication of financial status with Senior ManagementCBIZ offers competitive salaries and benefits, plus the opportunity to grow with an exciting organization.
