Director - Private Equity Accounting - Up to 150K + 25% Bonus

Location: San Francisco, CA 94101Your location:home   »  find a job   »  advanced search   »  job description Apply Online Send this Job to a Friend Our client, an industry leader in accounting, financial reporting, administration and consulting, to the private equity sector is seeking a Director to join their San Francisco office.  The Director will be responsible for a broad spectrum of financial and accounting matters affecting private equity clients. This firm has experienced nearly 30% growth each year and allows for a ton of upward mobility.  Responsibilities:Client Engagement Management: Overall client engagement responsibility. Overall responsibility for client relationships and client meetings. Manage and monitor the timing and quality of client deliverables. Provide technical accounting/industry knowledge to our clients. Preparation of client service plans including annual budget. Establish plan for new client setup and transitions. Coordinate, manage and monitor external audit process.Staff Management: Coordinate overall work plan for accounting staff, which includes managing and monitoring work in progress. Review all work product prepared by accounting staff. Provide on-the-job coaching and training as necessary to the accounting team. Coach and mentor staff and create a positive work environment. Assist in staff training and development programs. Coordinate staffing with other Directors.Review/ Implementation: Review private equity fund client’s partnership agreements, PPM’s and other materials. Implementation of fund structures on accounting system. Preparation and implementation of distribution/waterfall models. Review of limited partner and general partner allocations. Review client financial statements, partner capital statements and other required financial reporting.Requirements College degree in Accounting or related field 7 + years experience in Accounting CPA designation a plus Knowledge of partnership accounting, private equity experience a plus.
