Marsh's Denver Finance Center is searching for experienced accountants that under direct supervision performs the accurate and timely recording of all premium accounting transactions in a Finance Center:
May be involved in special projects as assigned.
Applies cash receipts, processes payments to clients and carriers, and researches unidentified cash.
Follows established guidelines and procedures regarding issues such as the advance of premiums, stop payments, client statements, non-system generated invoices, and special disbursements.
Interacts with insurance company representatives to resolve premium and commission differences.
Interacts with various levels of Marsh Client Advisory staff to resolve invoicing and cash application issues.
Monitors various reports to identify items needing additional attention. Maintains database of information for assigned office(s)and retains all backup relating to your assignment.
Ideal candidate has basic knowledge of accounting principals, strong communication skills (written & oral), good computer skills (ie: spreadsheet ability as well as word-processing).
Previous work experience (part time or full time) in the insurance industry is preferred.
Ideal candidate will be able to work both independently and when necessary, as part of a team environment.
Two-year accounting degree or equivalent.
One year of work experience.
