PetSmart is an Equal Opportunity EmployerWith many positions offering relocation packages, learn more about Life in Phoenix This position is responsible for providing planning and analytical oversight and coordination of the financial reporting activity including, but not limited to the following areas:• Modeling and analyzing strategic corporate initiatives; • Preparing the company-wide annual and multi-year plans and quarterly forecasts; • Coordinating capital planning, which includes the development of an annual plan and quarterly forecasts; • Preparing balance sheet and cash flow forecasting; • Establishing and reporting key operating metrics for internal and external reporting; • Preparing variance explanations of financial statements and metrics; • Coordinating monthly financial recap for management team; • Preparing presentations for management and Board of Directors; • Directing ad hoc analysis including data preparation; • Coordinating in-house financial systems development; • Working with department management to provide financial solutions to current department operating performance; • Supporting information needs for quarterly SEC reporting and analyst calls as well as for annual reports and proxy; • Utilizing operational and financial information to identify risks and opportunities to enhance overall operating results; and • Employing a customer-centric approach with functional and financial management to communicate and provide solutions in support of current and future operating performance.In addition, the role provides interim/mid-term systems solutions for high-importance and immediate-need issues related to the operation of the organization.
