FINANCIAL ANALYST - CONSUMER TOOLS & STORAGE
Stanley Works - Consumer Tools & Storage has an opportunity located at the New Britain, CT headquarters for a Financial Analyst.Become part of the Stanley Works Consumer Tools & Storage Finance team and participate in its growth, supporting Commercial Finance needs. This position provides the opportunity for participation in all financial cycles on a global basis.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:Review and Analyze financial statements and reports of the Consumer Tools & Storage business; Assist in preparation and coordination of Consumer Tools & Storage budgets and forecasts; Analyze fixed asset requests; Provide financial support to U.S. Sales/Commercial teams for Fortune 500 customers such as Home Depot, Wal-Mart, etc; Continuous improvement in management reporting info to help manage the business (effectiveness, timeliness, automation, etc); Participate in new product costing activities and profitability analysis for new product launches. Track SG&A expenses along with manage monthly accruals. Manage Fixed Asset listing across several regions/countries Manage and validate data used in large database Create analyses to help manage appropriate product mix by customer Participate and complete Ad hoc projects as needed
REQUIREMENTSBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or other related majors is required; 1 – 3 years of experience in financial analysis or accounting roles; Must be able to communicate with others across cultures in various countries and regions; Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and HFM (or other financial reporting system); Strong oral and written communication skills; Strong track record in process improvement initiatives; Periodic travel will be required.
