Financial Systems Analyst / Systems Accountant

Vistronix, Inc. is looking for a uniquely qualified Financial Systems Analyst / Auditor to join our team in Fort Collins, CO.  This position requires core financial management knowledge sufficient to work with auditors and represent audit requirements for government financial system development teams. The candidate will be responsible for:

 

·         Providing financial management and auditor expertise to system development teams to ensure sound accounting practices are followed and audit requirements are met

·         Focus on the financial and accounting components across multiple systems

·         Develop and document audit specifications for a complex set of integrated financial systems which include numerous feeders crossing agency boundaries

·         Providing feasibility feedback and identification of errors and omissions in business requirements and collaborating with business analysts and business sponsors to resolve related issues

·         Interacting constructively with development, quality assurance, and operations teams

·         Collaborating with other system analysts

·         Assisting business experts in defining financial management and audit requirements and solutions appropriate for the data and environment

 

The candidate will have prior work experience in auditing financial management systems.  Experience in a federal government environment is a plus but not required.

 

Education and Experience Requirements:  BS or higher degree in Accounting, Computer Science, or Information Technology  Experience implementing audit requirements in financial systems such as internal controls and Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) and/or OMB Circular A-1238 – 10 years of experience in the financial management, audit, or information technology field2 – 4 years experience as an auditor, designer, or analyst for financial systems; federal government systems a plusExperience working on system development projects 

Required Skills and Competencies: Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of financial systems, audit requirements, internal controls, and financial business processes; federal government experience a plusUnderstanding of software development methodologies; Scrum is a plus Ability to multi task, work both independently and as part of a team in a dynamic, fast-paced work environmentAbility to train and support other team membersStrong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills Applying sound judgment and tact to complex projectsMS Office Suite experienceExperience using documentation tools such as MS Visio, etc.

Desired Skills:   Experience in a federal government environmentFamiliarity with Microsoft SQL Server 2000 & 2005Familiarity with data modeling conceptsFamiliarity using team collaboration toolsFamiliarity using MS Visual StudioExperience using MS Project
