Re-Bath of Connecticut is currently seeking a Full-Charge Bookkeeper. The position is full-time, Monday through Friday, 9 to 5 p.m.

 

Duties:Develop a system to account for financial transactions by establishing a chart of accounts; define bookkeeping policies and procedures.Maintain subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions.Balance subsidiary accounts by reconciling entries.Maintain a general ledger by transferring subsidiary account summaries.Balance a general ledger by preparing a trial balance; reconcile entries.Maintain historical records by filing documents.Prepare financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.Comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying requirements; enforce adherence to requirements; file reports; advise management on needed actions.Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

 

Skills/Qualifications:5 years prior experience in bookkeeping/accountingComputer literate with extensive knowledge of Quickbooks and Microsoft OfficeFull-cycle AP/AR experienceExperience processing payroll and 1099’sExperience maintaining general ledger & doing monthly bank reconciliationsExcellent communication skillsSupervisory experienceStrong organizational skills; able to work under pressure to meet deadlinesProactive and able to work independently as well as in a team environmentHuman Resource experience a plus
