Job Description
Help Desk Support Technician is responsible for identifying, researching and resolving technical issues. Respond to telephone calls, email and user requests for technical support as well as document, track and monitor the problem to ensure a timely resolution.
Job Responsibilities:Interface with users, identify and resolve problems, escalate unresolved trouble tickets as appropriate, and track calls. Install, maintain, upgrade and troubleshoots PCs, laptops, printers and other peripherals Install, maintain, upgrade, and troubleshoot various applications in an MS Windows environment. Utilize help desk ticket system (Numara TrackIT) by inputting, updating and closing tickets Provide basic IT training for new users Participate in various IT related projects as needed Provide on-call support and some nights/weekends work Continue professional development of skills
Education & Experience Requirements: MCP preferred, MCSA a plusMinimum 4 years of Help Desk ExperienceExperience in a professional services environment a plus
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:Working knowledge of Windows Operating SystemsProficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project, Office 2007 experience a plus Excellent verbal and written communication skills Apply principles of logical thinking to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions Demonstrate strong organizational skills and attention to detail Work on multiple tasks simultaneously with regular interruptions Complete tasks effectively within a reasonable amount of time Follow and apply specific IT policies Proactively acknowledge when there is a problem Actively look for ways to help the end userAble to work overtime and weekends if necessaryAble to travel to our other offices, if needed.
