International Tax Specialist, London

A leading international Mining and Engineering group, based in central London, immediately requires a Tax Accountant. Our client is an innovative world leader in providing natural resources, and has an extensive reach globally in both existing and emerging markets and an exciting opportunity has now arisen within their Global Tax Risk Management team.



The primary role of the International Tax Specialist will be to assist with key project work involving the disposals of a number of current legal entities and investigating the tax implications of the reorganisation of these legal entities. As International Tax Specialist you will be responsible for looking into the history of legal entities, researching recent transactions concerning these entities, reassigning assets or liabilities and conducting technical tax research where necessary.



There will also be a strong element of UK tax compliance and reporting within this role and in preparing UK corporate tax computations, returns and statutory tax accounting.



This International Tax Specialist role requires a Tax Accountant with strong Tax Risk Management and UK Corporate Tax accounting experience within a large corporate environment. ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CTA qualifications are highly desirable.



Our client is ideally looking for a Tax Specialist with previous experience of dealing with the disposal of a large number of legal entities and with excellent knowledge of Corporate Capital Gains Tax regulations.



Excellent Excel skills are essential and knowledge of Alpha Tax or similar tax computation systems would also be highly advantageous.
