Payroll/Accounting Admin Assistant

Send us your resume if you think you have what it takes. The Payroll/Accounting Admin Assistant will be responsible for providing accounting and administrative support to Accounting and Payroll department. At least 1 year previous payroll experience required.
•General payroll processing - 75% OF TIME.
•Maintains bookkeeping function, document files, including daily work and accounts payable. – 25% OF TIME.
•Monthly bank reconciliation & the general ledger system. Prints accounts payable checks, records all receipts & expense / charges, Assists accounting personnel as requested. – 25% OF TIME
Experience with Quickbooks and GCS Premier preferred.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
Assumes responsibility for performing assigned accounting and related clerical support functions.
Maintains files, including filing of general ledger journal vouchers, accounts payable documentation, and other miscellaneous filings.
Keys daily worksheets to the general ledger system.
•Prints daily accounts payable checks and inserts checks and invoices into envelopes for mailing.
•Prepares requisitions for office, computer, and routine supply purchases.
•Assumes responsibility for effectively researching, tracking, and resolving (or properly referring) accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies.
•Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective communication and coordination with Company personnel and with management.
•Maintains regular contact with other departments to obtain and convey information and/or to correct transactions.
