Provide Commerce currently has an exciting opportunity for a Payroll Assistant who will be the right hand person to the Payroll and Accounting Specialist. This individual will perform daily payroll entry, reporting, filing and various other payroll related duties for a dynamic, multi-state organization. The ideal candidate has previous payroll experience, is extremely detail-oriented, a strong communicator and works well in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
• Daily payroll data entry, including employee changes, paydata entry, and imports of employee data and hours
• PTO request preparation and entry
• Preparation of 401k contribution report and upload to Vendor website
• New hire/term entry into Principal
• Preparation of DCP contribution and upload to Vendor website
• Wage garnishment processing
• Payroll department filing
• Back up manual check preparation
• Payroll journal entry preparation and upload
• Prepare and send pay period reports to managers
• Respond to employee inquiries as needed
• Assist with Audits

Qualifications:
• 3 years minimum experience in the payroll field
• 3 years minimum experience processing payroll with ADP, UltiPro or similar Payroll Software is preferred
• Strong ReportSmith or report writing skills
• Experience processing payroll over multiple states is preferred
• Proficient with MS Word and Excel
• Ability to problem solve using the internet and other resources
• Excellent communication skills
• Detail-oriented and very organized
• Self-motivated and Customer focused individual.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain the highest levels of confidentiality
• Willingness to assist with other areas as needed, such as special projects
