Payroll Tax Specialist

Our client, a leader in the grocery industry, is looking for a Payroll Tax Specialist to join their team.  Primary responsibilities include coordinating all payroll tax activities, including in the preparation, filing, and paying of federal, state, and local payroll tax returns. Assists with Quarter and Year-End processes. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage department’s daily mail and filing. Manage daily/weekly payroll tax files to Tax Service provider, Ceridian (CTS) are remitted and funded timely and accurately. Coordinate special payroll (bonus, commission, etc.) tax funding files. Reconcile weekly payroll tax funding to Ceridian to insure tax deposits are correct. Prepare and submit payroll tax journal entry. Prepare, submit, and review quarterly tax files to CTS. Reconciliation of taxable wages and taxes during Quarter and Year-End processes. Assist with reconciliation of the Cash Payroll Tax entry. Payroll Finance - Treasury Assist CTS with new tax set-ups to ensure accounts are set-up properly for depositing and reporting.
