Plant Controller

Almond processor, located in LeGrand, California, seeks Plant Controller

 

 

Responsibilities:

 

-          Prepare monthly financial package for internal review by Board of Directors and for annual compilation by outside CPA Firm

-       Supervise 3 to 4 person clerical staff that will be responsible for accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and human resources

-          Analyze cost estimates and help set pricing for sales staff

-          Assist in selection and implementation of a computerized cost accounting system

-          Track production efficiencies and help reduce costs

-          Will report to Board of Directors and General Manager

 

 

Requirements:

 

-         Degree in Accounting

-         Experience in a processing environment a must

-         Solid understanding of general ledger and cost accounting with an emphasis on inventory control

-         Basic understanding of IT processes and functions

-         Thorough attention to detail

-         Ability to motivate staff and create a sense of urgency

-         Excel and MS Office

-         Ability to prioritize multiple tasks
