Property Accountant

Property Accountant  Will work in the corporate accounting department of a NYSE traded REIT in Orange County, CA.  Will be responsible for preparing monthly journal entries, tenant rent calculations, general ledger review, and various financial reports and schedules.  Must be able to work well within a group, as well as the ability to utilize sound judgment and to work independently to resolve issues.·  Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a business degree. ·  3 - 4+ years experience in accounting with a focus on commercial real estate preferred. ·  Public accounting experience is beneficial but not required.·  Ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal).·  Proficiency in Excel and Word (MRI software experience preferred but not required)Company offers excellent benefits (401k, medical, and dental, vision, paid vacations) and a positive work environment.  Potential for discretionary equity compensation stock awards.
