The East Hartford, CT office of RMS is currently seeking to fill the position of Recovery Agent. This position is responsible for the collection of insurance accounts.
The exciting and challenging work of an RMS Recovery Agent requires them to be able to perform the following responsibilities:

1.Contact policyholders by telephone regarding recovery of large balances on Workers Compensation accounts placed for collection.
2.Educate policyholders on the reason for collection.
3.Negotiate reasonable payment options.
4.Secure payment and/or gather documentation to resolve the outstanding balance.
5. Manage assigned portfolio within the office requirements, and within the customer’s specified parameters.  Requirements:  1.High school diploma or equivalent required; College degree preferred.
2.A minimum of one (1) year collections experience required.
3.Insurance experience desirable.
4.Must have good verbal, written and negotiation skills.
5.Must have the ability to prioritize and be goal oriented.
6.Good computer skills required.
7.Must be proficient working within a team, as well as independently.
