POSITION TITLE: Risk Manager

REPORTS TO:  Chief Financial Officer

 

 

POSITION SUMMARYResponsible for managing all functions of the risk management, insurance and surety programs for RSI companies.

 PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Facilitate divisional efforts to establish safety steering team for local management.Improve operations leadership development in Safety program success monitoring.Facilitate active trade safety steering teams in every division.Develop/oversee training materials, tracking lists, other administrative functions.Determine/negotiate appropriate insurance and surety requirements for each company.Attend International Risk Management Institute conference to keep current with construction insurance.Verify payment of all invoices.Coordinate administrative functions of any risk management department direct reports.Endure compliance with contractual and fiduciary requirements in governing legal documents.Develop internal division and corporate policies and procedures.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQIREMENTSExcellent oral and written communication skillsFamiliar with standard insurance industry policy forms and endorsementsStrong organizational skills; possess initiative and be highly motivated;Strong computer skills, with proficiency in Word, Excel and other Microsoft programs.Five to seven years professional experience in insurance, risk, loss control, and claim management.Bachelor degree in business, finance, or related field required.
