SENIOR TAX ACCOUNTANT

DESCRIPTION: Our client, a long-standing and successful Birmingham based Company is looking to add a talented tax professional to their team. This position offers a wide array of interesting work in a pleasant environment with great people. You will work with a team of professionals and will be involved in all aspects of corporate tax reporting and compliance.



 



DUTIES WILL INCLUDE:


Federal and state compliance for multiple entity types Researching technical tax issues Filing multi-state and consolidated returns Documenting tax work Assisting with tax provision preparation and planning Tax operational analysis Reviewing transactions for tax planning initiatives Filing of extensions Various other special projects as requested

This is a highly visible position that interacts with all levels of the organization.

 

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in accounting Minimum of 2 years experience in either public accounting or corporate tax CPA is strongly preferred but not required
