Currently, 3E Company has an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Collector.  The employee in this position performs internal and external collection procedures and customer account maintenance.  Please see additional responsibilities below.

 

Additional Responsibilities:

· Oversee company internal and external collection procedures

· Maintains aging results within established performance objectives and corporate accounts receivable goals ensuring minimal bad-debt exposure

· Tracks and maintenance all customer accounts throughout the collection process ensuring prompt payment recovery of all outstanding balances

· Performs customer account maintenance activities to include account reviews, reconciling aging levels, verifying account clearances, applying payments, monitoring collection activities, and updating accounts in compliance with established corporate policies and procedures

· Performs and processes the collection of past due accounts and delinquent balances through direct contact with customers by letter and telephone. May assist customer in establishing payment plans to bring accounts current and in compliance with the terms and conditions of the customer’s financial option.

· Ensures timely follow up of cash receipts and payment promises.

· Prepares daily bank deposits

· Performs research in response to inquiries and concerns regarding customer financial matters.

· Prepares or coordinates reports measuring accounts receivable levels.

· Maintain relationships with external collection agencies to ensure proper account maintenance.

· Take incoming calls from customer and internal stakeholders

· Preparing and following up on dunning letters to customers

· Interacting with internal stakeholders to furnish and communicate information as needed

· Experience in a leadership role preferred

· Performs other duties as assigned or apparent

 

Experience/Skills Required:

· Bachelor’s Degree preferred while a HS Diploma is required.

· A/R billing experience a plus

· 3+ years experience in accounts receivable/collection environment. Must be highly motivated and be a team player.

· Must have the ability to effectively organize and establish priorities.

· Must have excellent communication, negotiation and problem solving skills.

· Computer skills are a must. Great Plains (preferred), Excel, Word, MS Office

· Bilingual language skills are preferred. (French and English)

· Adhere to month-end deadlines calendar as prepared by Corporate Controller

· Complete assignments on time
