Senior International Tax Advisor

We are currently recruiting for a senior level Tax Advisor with experience working with International Accounts.  This position will be based in San Diego, CA but we are open to discussing relocation assistance for the ideal candidate.  This is a Direct Hire opportunity.

Job Functions:

·  Guarantee the completion of the tax returns and estimated tax payments for the LNG and SP&S business units.

·  Provide the tax inputs for the financial plans for the LNG and SP&S business units.

·  Identify and communicate tax planning strategies, including researching and developing the most tax efficient action plan and/or ownership structure.

·  Prepare and review the company's responses to auditor's information data requests and notice of proposed adjustments to ensure accuracy and completeness.

·  Analyze and quantify the impact to the company of current and proposed tax legislation.

·  Ability to review work of Tax Advisors or other Senior Tax Advisors, and to self review/critique own work before submitting it for review.

 

Requirements:

·  4 – 8 years of experience with the majority of that time in international tax; require that a judicious amount of that time was with a large CPA firm or in a corporate tax department.

·  Bachelor’s degree in Tax, Accounting, Finance or Business Administration required or equivalent experience.

·  Masters degree in Tax or Accounting and/or CPA license preferred.  Moderate experience in a large CPA firm/corporate tax department required.

·  Strong organizational skills, able to multi-task. Solid decision-making capabilities and able to communicate those decisions and results to supervision. Good interpersonal/communication skills. Ability to identify issues, analyze and develop answers/solutions. Comfortable working in a team environment.

·  Proficiency in computer software applications including Microsoft Excel and Word and tax compliance software (preferably InSource RS).
