Senior Manager, Priority Categories and Insider Programs

Overview:
The Senior Manager, Priority Categories and Insider Programs works on Loblaw Brands major strategic business initiatives that require cross-functional involvement to deliver.

The Senior Manager, will report to the VP, Process and Technology. She / He will work closely with Loblaw Brands senior business leaders who lead and own the Priority Categories and with the owner of the National Event/Insider Process. Priority Categories and the National Event/Insider Process are key national marketing and launch vehicles for new product innovations at LCL, both National Brands and Control Brands. Priority Categories are selected annually, are supported Nationally and have 52 week marketing plans. National Events/Insider Reports are executed 4 times a year. Both are of strategic importance to the overall company and require involvement of multiple business units / functions. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals with both retail or CPG experience and project management to apply their skills and experience through managing initiatives that directly impact our business and formula for growth.

Accountabilities:

• Manage Priority Categories projects and National Events/Insider programs through all stages of their life cycle.
• Prepare plans, lead project team meetings, coordinate project activities
• Help ensure all initiatives achieve desired results / benefits on-time and within budget
• Help assess and clear roadblocks for team -- effectively able to raise and resolve / mitigate any issues / risks and interdependencies across own and team’s projects
• Continually assess project plans as business evolves to determine required adjustments
• Structure and develop executive-ready presentations
• Review project plans on a weekly basis, define context and limitations, monitor project deliverables and communicate to Program Leads any issues that may impact team's delivery
• Lead and organize tasks to be carried out as part of analysis and implementation, and ensure they are completed in line with project timelines

Job Qualifications:

• Relevant experience in Retail or CPG
• University degree with at least 5 years of supervisory / management experience
• Extensive operational project management experience with a proven track record of multiple medium to high complexity, multi-disciplinary projects
• Broad organizational skills with a history of successfully leading change
• Knowledgeable about multiple functions and disciplines from concept to execution
• Demonstrated ability to work in an ambiguous environment and to help simplify and create structure where none exists
• Excellent organizational; relationship building skills
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
