Senior Risk Coordinator
Job Title: Senior Risk Coordinator
Department: Risk Management
Status: Full-time
Pay Range: $15 - $19 per hour
Schedule; Monday-Friday 7 am - 4 pm
JOB PURPOSE: Candidate must be familiar with Workers Compensation Insurance laws.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Risk Management Coordinator Duties & Responsibilities Claims · Set up of New Claim Files · Report claims to Union & Insurance Company · Update Modified Duty Report · Report to Payroll weekly of employees on modified duty · Pay medical bills · Update Claims Management System with new claims & payments · Prepare modified duty job letters and job descriptions · Follow up with clinics for current medical status and assist with return to work. · Notify Field Foreman of missed doctor appointments. · Obtain claim status and develop strategies on existing claims. Certificate Management · Send insurance requirements/contracts to new vendors (i.e. suppliers, subcontractors) · Request updated certificates from current vendors · Obtain/follow up for certificates and additional insured endorsements · Review and approve all insurance certificates · Revise certificates to customers based on insurance requirements OCIP/CCIP · Wrap Up Projects o Complete OCIP enrollments o Provide appropriate information to OCIP carriers o Confirm enrollment into OCIPs. o Confirm OCIP enrollments of all subcontractors o Track all insurance credits for subcontractors o Maintain OCIP Listing o Track insurance credits for jobs
QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience, Competencies and Education: Associates degree in the field of business accounting or any other business related area. Some work experience in a similar position, preferably in a construction or related field. - Or - Minimum of two years work experience in a similar position, preferably in a construction or related field.
Language Skills: Must be able to read and write English clearly. Ability to speak Spanish is a plus, however not a requirement.
ACCOUNTABILITIES AND MEASURES:
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: This position requires occasional lifting and moving of items up to 25 lbs.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Indoor office, not exposed to weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.
