Solar Account Executive - North East

Solar Sales leaders needed – East Coast – Regional Northeast (NJ, PA, MA, NY, MD); Mid-Atlantic and Central US (MN to TX).

What you’ll do:

Quarterback territory sales strategy and tactics for solar products by working in conjunction with regional sales management, Reps/distributors and corporate/interdivisional personnel.
Establish and exceed territory sales goals; increase market share for Cooper’s solar products.
Work directly with assigned customer groups to establish Cooper as the preferred products and services vendor of choice for PV BOS products; assist customers in sizing systems and providing budgetary pricing estimates
Work cross-functionally across the enterprise to identify key influencers, define gaps in products or services, and develop and implement the necessary tools to capitalize on opportunities.
Develops and recommends the strategic annual territory sales plans and forecasts for solar products as well as regional, functional and individual breakdowns (as required) of the plan.
Effectively measure and report on sales results, product/market concerns, and serve as a conduit for VOC to internal and external stakeholders
Develop and deliver product sales & services seminars for training of assigned accounts.
Prospecting using self-generated leads as well as follow-up for leads generated from MarComm activities; populating, maintaining and mining data in CRM for sales reporting and targeting use.
Support new product releases and new/adjacent account development.
Performs other duties as required.



Job Requirements:
What you’ve got:

Bachelor’s degree from a four year college or university in Electrical, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering or similar field required.
3-5 Years sales experience in solar PV industry calling on EPC, Integrator, Developer and/or PPA customers to sell BOS products/solutions.
Demonstrable record of sales growth and success in account development.
Experience in crafting account specific strategic sales and marketing plans
Excellent presentation and communication skills
Self-starter with ability to learn, grow, deal with ambiguity and change, with a strong bias towards action
Proficient in MS Office, SFA
Ability to travel 60%

Nice to haves:

MBA is a plus
Formal consultative sales training
System design/layout experience
NABCEP certification or solar PV installation experience
Familiarity with two-step/Rep-Distributor channels to market
Experience with roofing industry; general knowledge of roof types and construction
