Sr. Accountant - A/R Management

CITY/STATE: Washington, DC 20036POSITION TYPE: Full Time, EmployeeJOB CATEGORY: Accounting/Finance/InsuranceSALARY: 50,000.00 - 65,000.00 USD /year Sr. Accountant - A/R Management     Ledgent is assisting a large financial reporting firm based in New York City in filling a Senior Accountant - A/R Management position.  This role will require an exended work week, ability to manage several tasks as once and the opportunity to work for one of the most well known American firms.  Duties will include: Identifies, researches and co-ordinates resolution of accounts receivable and billing system Analyze data and account adjustments Ensures timely and accurate information is properly collected to enable accurate invoicing Reviews and analyzes all billing data and reports prior to generation of actual invoices. Resolves any inconsistent or incorrect billing data as necessary Reconciles billing system records to various operations systems’ researches and resolved variances Responsible for the coordination of collection activities and monitors section workflow to ensure all deadlines are met Responsible for maintaining a clean aging Responsible for resolution of credit items within the AR ledger Respond to customer inquiries though online access, email, telephone, written requests and document such activities in each customer’s A/R correspondence record as needed for future reference. Prepare periodic and ad hoc reports for senior management as necessary.  Responsible for doing research and analysis including account reconciliation's to resolve customer inquiries and disputes.  Works with billing to resolve billing inquiries. Requirements Qualified candidates need at least 2-4 years of experience of solid accounting, as well as solid communication, computer and critical thinking abilities.  Working knowledge of ERP systems is preferred.  Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.  Accreditations such as CPA also preferred.  Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel are essential.About Ledgent Search Group Ledgent Search Group specializes in the placement of Accounting, Finance, Tax, Treasury, and Audit professionals with top companies in every industry nationwide.
