Sr IT Auditor

Description:Department Summary:The mandate of the Internal Audit Department is to perform independent assessments of the operations and systems of internal controls of ING Direct, and to identify opportunities for improvement to the operations and systems from these assessments.Job Summary:The Senior IT Auditor is responsible for the development, maintenance and execution of Information Technology audits while providing assistance and support for both operational and financial audits.Essential Functions:Performing independent information technology audits/reviews and provide timely recommendations to management for any issues identified.Assess, evaluate and promote compliance to ING Group systems/security and controls policies.Assist the IT Audit Manager and Head of Internal Audit in risk assessments and annual audit planning for IT audits. Effectively and efficiently coordinate, communicate and execute responsibilities undertaken by Internal Audit in the area of Corporate Security on behalf of and between ING Group, ING DIRECT USA senior management and the external auditors.Provide assistance to the development, maintenance and evaluation on both internal and external corporatecompliance requirements.Support Operational and Financial auditors in the acquisition and sampling of populations identified for testing.Qualifications:Experience & Qualifications:2 to 4 years of progressive work experience in a similar position relating to the banking/financial industry.Education and/or Certifications:A post-secondary degree in one of the following disciplines: Accounting, Computer Science, ManagementInformation Systems, Finance, Business Administration or Economics. Professional designation of one or more ofthe following designations required CISA/CPA/CIA/CBA/CFSA/CA.Technical skills and abilities:Excellent communication (written & oral) skills.Excellent time management skills and ability to work both independently and as a team player.A sound understanding of information technology controls including client/server operating systems, SDLC, computer operations, computer environment controls, business continuity planning, website security, database security and computer network controls.Practical knowledge in physical and logical access security.Good application software skill - MS Office, ACL for Windows, TeamMate, Visio.Adaptable and flexible in responding to deadlines on assignments and work flow fluctuations.Knowledge of SQL or UNIX scripting helpful but not required.Technical certifications helpful, but not required, ie.
