Position Description:

Senior Staff Accounting Analyst Job Summary: This position will assist revenue recognition functions within the organization's established policies. The successful candidate will be able to work and communicate effectively in a team environment interacting with all levels in the operations and finance organizations, as well as with external vendors such as the Company's external auditors. Job duties include but are not limited to: • Review and document revenue-related transactions in the context of the Company's revenue recognition policy. • Complete month-end close duties, including deferred revenue reconciliations. • Participate in quarterly revenue forecasting procedures.• Review contracts, sales orders and purchase orders to assess proper revenue recognition treatment. • Perform periodic audits of orders for proper revenue recognition, data entry and billing accuracy. • Exercise judgment within defined policies and authoritative literature to determine appropriate action related to revenue-related transactions. • Make recommendations for revenue recognition process improvements based upon industry trends, authoritative literature and business objectives.• Update process narratives on a quarterly basis, in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.• Assist with SOX testing and other special projects, as needed. Education and Experience: • Bachelor's Degree (BA) from four-year college or university; minimum of three years of experience, preferably with a Big 4 public accounting firm. CPA certificate and industry accounting experience a plus. • Experience in the application of SAB No. 104 and EITF 00-21 and working knowledge of all other authoritative literature related to revenue recognition is required. Strong familiarity with VSOE concepts is required. • Demonstrates a serious commitment to accuracy and quality while meeting goals or deadlines. Superior attention to detail a must. • Must have the ability to prioritize workload and perform multiple tasks under monthly and quarter close deadlines. • Self-directed and able to work well and communicate effectively in a team environment. Hands-on and able to work with minimal supervision. • Experience with JD Edwards is a plus. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel and Power Point. • Excellent written and oral communication skills. Demonstrated experience in interacting with all levels of management.
