Staff Intern

Novogradac & Company LLP is hiring Interns to join its Long Beach office for busy season 2009.  We are seeking students with a GPA of 3.2 or higher. The internship program is designed to expose aspiring public accountants to not only our business but also to how we empower our clients' businesses. Interns learn hands-on what it takes to be a staff accountant for a growing national CPA firm by tackling a variety of different assignments, including audit and tax preparation and research. Novogradac & Company LLP believes in giving our Interns a real-life business experience.

 

Responsibilities:

-complete assignments, including audit and tax preparation and research;

-identify and communicate potential problem areas during engagements;

-work in an accurate, time efficient, and organized manner; and

-develop general technical skills

 

Requirements:

-coursework towards obtaining a Bachelor's degree, preferably in Accounting

-willingness to work under close supervision

-basic computer skills; ability to work with report writing tools and spreadsheets a plus

 

*Internship opportunities are only available during the tax season of each year (January –March)*
