Supplies Marketing AnalystThe Marketing Analyst acts as the key synthesizer and analyst of market and sales data for the product marketing group, and effectively communicates key findings to decision makers. This position conducts data collection and analysis for business planning, forecasting, price and profit management. Supports channel marketing/sales team with reporting and analytics. Helps create and manage financial systems/tools to manage ongoing analytical data needs. Principal AccountabilitiesBusiness Planning/Forecasting Assist finance and marketing with the development of annual and mid-term financial plan Supports management with analysis and presentation development for mid-term roadmap and other ad hoc strategic planning initiatives Develop and maintain the product lifetime forecasting methodology; monitors results for continuous improvement Supports the scoping and sizing of new business opportunities (ROI, market sizing) Develops a plan to obtain relevant data Collects and analyzes data (primary and secondary) Synthesizes data, hypotheses, and discrete components into a concise assessment Develops and communicates key project findings to project leaderPricing and Profit Management Provides pricing and profit management recommendations for new and ongoing products Collects and analyses competitive pricing and product features Evaluates different scenarios, synthesizes data and provides recommendations for managers’ evaluation Creates decision making tools that will facilitate routine, quick turn-around pricing decisions Creates concise presentation to review analytical methodology, market data and recommendation Develops and maintains the competitive and internal price tracking systems Creates system for effectively collecting and monitoring Epson internal as well as competitive ink and paper pricing information Conduct quarterly review of Canadian exchange rates/market pricing and drive appropriate pricing updatesSales, Market Trend, and Channel Analysis Creates and publishes regular and ad-hoc market reports and analyses Updates channel share and sales data in support of retail planogram reviews Conducts promotional program evaluation Creates monthly sales report vs. prior year and plan Tracks market share and publishes quarterly report Reviews Epson proprietary product researches to identify product and customer trendsRelationship Management Builds strong relationships with Product Managers, Finance, Sales and SEC to best meet company goals and objectivesLeverages relationships with vendors for a specific product/service (best price, best product, etc.)Requirements: Minimum two years experience in a similar role as an Analyst Advanced Excel skills Completion of a bachelor's degree or equivalent (B.A. or B.S.)
