Manages country finance function including guidance and advice to the country finance and accounting managers. Works with senior management team (finance, sales, etc) on all aspects of the business, assisting in the development of policies, processes and procedures. Prepares monthly, quarterly and half yearly reporting and forecasting. Handles external and internal auditors and tax reporting. Supervises staff. Controls credit, reviews payroll, gives invoices to customers. Also responsible for bonus and commission calculation. Provides education, development and guidance to the field finance staff to ensure all guidelines, policies and controls are properly administered. Supports the efficiencies and productivity of the sales force through process improvement and continuous training.General Treasury' Monitor and analyze financial markets and provide feedback' Develop and maintain good relationships with banks and other providers of financial servicesDevelop systems for analyzing and maximizing returns on cash reserve investmentsDevelop comprehensive cash flow projection systemsIdentify opportunities for significant improvement in process and results in Treasury functionPromote global Treasury Function and develop critical relationships with domestic and international management to improve results and internal control' Coordinate, negotiate, prepare, and maintain all bank and financial institution documentation and confirmations' Issue reports of Treasury activity to accounting department,' Monitor how treasury activity is reflected in Corporate Financial Statements' Provide reports for the fiscal half-end and year-end audits and to Japan' Compliance with SOX for all treasury processes' Assist and coordinate with all treasury related SOX requirements and periodic testing' Primary responsibility for developing all Treasury policies and processesDomestic Banking & Cash Management' Monitor and assist with the daily cash management activity' Develop borrowing and investing strategies and plans' Monitor and analyze Treasury portfolios on World-Wide Basis' Reconcile interest expense, interest income, cash, and borrowings to the G/L balance sheet and income statements and analyze changes' Initiate or approve wire transfers and make sure all paperwork and approvals are done.' Support the free cash flow forecasting data gathering and analysis and prepare monthly reportForeign Exchange Risk Management' Assist with development and evaluation of hedging policies and strategies, review strategies with senior treasury management and execute or confirm FX transactions' Work with U.S. subsidiaries and HDS departments to collect, maintain, and analyze HDS's foreign currency exposure positions and cash reserve requirements' Determine and distribute monthly FX rates, working with subsidiaries to conform to their timing requirements; gather and process prospective rate data from various sourcesInternational Treasury Management' Assist in developing and maintaining WW reporting system for subsidiary cash, investment and borrowing positions' Develop and Monitor systems to analyze cash positions and cash forecasts by International and Domestic Subsidiaries' Assist with the coordination of all payments among HDSC and subsidiaries and other projectsHDS Benefits' Manage treasury related functions with 401k, pension and STD programs to ensure that accounts are properly funded by tracking account balances and coordinating with HR and Payroll' Track performance issues related to funds as benchmarked by our investment consultants and financial institutions.' Coordinate monthly retirement committee meetings' Coordinate with actuaries and monitor periodic pension costs and obligations Personal' Self-motivated, self-sufficient, innovator.'
