Valuation Services Senior Manager
The Transaction Advisory Services Practice of this top firm is currently launching a Valuation Services practice. The firm is seeking an experienced Senior Manager or Director level valuation expert to deliver exceptional service to its clients and provide leadership and direction in this exciting new practice. This individual would be an integral component of a dynamic and growing firm with tremendous opportunities. Clients include strategic public and private companies, institutional investors, and private equity firms.
The Transaction Advisory Practice provides clients with both pre and post transaction consulting services. Those services include pre transaction assistance such as financial and tax due diligence, financial modeling, transaction structuring, and seller preparation. Post transaction services include integration projects, financial restatements, CFO advisory services, deal related disputes and forensic accounting services. This firm is seeking an individual with a broad depth of valuation and transaction experience to be a key member of the Transaction Advisory Practice.
This is an outstanding opportunity for a motivated individual with an entrepreneurial spirit. You will be a core member of the Transaction Advisory senior management team and have a direct impact on the growth and success of our practice.
The responsibilities of the position include:Reporting directly to Partner in charge of Transaction Advisory practice Provide exceptional service to clients spanning a broad range of transactions and complex issues resulting in their need for valuation services Lead individual responsible for the development of Valuation Services practice including the establishment of policies and procedures Business development, networking and acquisition of clients Technical expertise and knowledge of GAAP considering valuation aspects that impact our clients Development of Valuation Services team members and other staff Establishing reporting structure and policies Valuation engagement management including adherence to client deadlines Contribution to other Transaction Advisory Services' engagements Ability to adapt to a variety of clients, transactions and industries
Basic qualifications include:
An undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance or related field At least 10 years of experience or valuation experience including transaction related experience Deep experience in providing valuation services in core financial reporting and tax areas such as FAS 141, 143, 143(R), 409(a) and gift and estates Previous experience in a professional services environment Excellent written/verbal communications and collaboration skills The ability to work effectively in a team environment with all levels of client personnel in various industries Ability to travel up to 40% Successful Candidates will also possess: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) preferred. Will consider Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or AVA with proper experience Integrity, professionalism and entrepreneurship Ability to meet tight deadlines and effectively manage client engagements
