SUMMARY. Person responsible and accountable for the achievement of commitments on Milestones, Critical Requirements (cost, schedule, weight, testability, MTBF,*) and Expenses (Rework/Service Bulletins) during the development design and manufacturing phase of IFS Products (LRUs, Kiosks, Racks, Cables, etc.) or significant projects identified by one of the Change Review Boards (CRB or ECRB).





ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage the Recurring Cost estimate process. Continuously monitor the gap from estimated target to the agreed target RC and work to close the gap.
Secure the inputs from the P2, ME, PLM, Procurement and PSE throughout the NPI scope. Ensure *Lessons Learned* are reviewed and considered early in the development.
Maintain IFS milestones/KPIs that are reliable and well communicated on a regular basis.
Anticipate unexpected events and create mitigation and/or recovery plans.
Capable of leading a multi-disciplined team which has no direct reporting relationship.
Ensure that all Team members share relevant, consistent and up-to-date information on dates and schedule commitments.
Maintain strong functional coordination role with IPT Lead, ILE (Industrial Lead Engineer) and Procurement specialist.
Maintain a list of identified risks and ensure they are understood and taken into account by Product Manager. Escalate risks you cannot mitigate to manager.
Ensure a smooth transition to full production rate through tight coordination with operations teams and ensure EIS risks are identified, anticipated and communicated


EXPERIENCE and SKILLS

B.A.) from four-year college or university and eight to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.



SPECIAL SKILLS:

Prefer a candidate that is experienced with project scheduling tools (i.e. Microsoft Project), candidate should possess excellent communication skills.



TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must have experience leading a New Product Development and Introduction activity in the electronics industry and has general knowledge and experience with technical features and performance of IFE or Multimedia products and systems.
