Payroll Accountant

We are currently searching for a talented, professional Payroll Accountant with strong experience in payroll and government contracting to join our team!
About the Job
Individual will be responsible for processing payroll, review payroll transactions to ensure accuracy of time reporting, reviewing and processing timesheets for labor distribution, monitor employee wage garnishment for accuracy, maintaining prepaid and accrual accounts, understand payroll taxes, reconciliations, invoicing, and assisting with the month-end/year-end close. Other duties involve assisting in financial statement preparation and analysis; reviewing accounting project documents for accuracy and compliance; communicating with vendors; and completing ad hoc projects as needed.
Required skills include
· Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance required.
· 3-8 years of related experience
· Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
· Experience with processing payroll via electronic payroll systems such as ADP
· Ability to plan and organize work schedules, establish workload priorities and perform assigned tasks in a timely manner.
· Proficient in all Microsoft office applications.
· High GPA strongly desired.
· Deltek experience is required
· U.S.Citizenship or Permanent Residency of the U.S required
