Well established management consulting firm providing services and expertise in Software Development, IT strategy and systems engineering has an immediate permanent position for a Lead J2EE Software Engineer. This is a role where you will
a lead on a 10 person team and have the ability to work from home part of the time to avoid all the DC traffic!
If you are a senior Java / J2EE Software Developer or Lead Software Engineer and have a strong background in J2EE and Oracle Application Express (APEX), please read on!
What you need for this position:
- Very Strong knowledge of J2EE, Oracle Application Express (APEX), and Structured Query Language (SQL)
- Strong knowledge of Oracle Databases.
- Experience developing data management plans
- Strong communication skills. Ability to translate technical concepts into easily understandable non-technical terms.
- Experience serving as a project / team lead.
What you'll be doing:
- Serve as the lead software developer and technical expert to a team of about 10 developers providing support to the DHS work program.
- Lead the design and develop mission-critical IT capabilities for the DHS client, utilizing J2EE, Oracle Application Express (APEX), and Structured Query Language (SQL).
- Assist in the development and implementation of a comprehensive Data Management Plan, addressing data requirements, data conversion strategies, data quality issues, data security strategies and data management.
