Key Responsibilities Plans, organizes and controls the fire pump product line from concept through product life cycles to optimize profit while meeting marketing, financial and corporate growth targets by performing the following duties: ·  Define WW product strategy and develop/maintain long term roadmap for fire pump product line & options ·  Use market analysis’ to develop business cases for new products/features for Fire Power & CMI·  Establish internal product cost targets·  Perform voice of the customer and market research to understand market and technology trends·  Develop competitive analysis’ for internal purposes·  Work with Marketing to:·  Execute final WW Marketing strategy ·  Implement WW product strategy and pricing·  Support advertising, PR, promotions and trade shows·  Develop new product launch plans ·  Develop sales tools: White papers, presentations, feature/benefit information, competitive comparisons & internet based quoting & submittal tools·  Work with Engineering to:·  Perform preliminary design work on new products and options  ·  Finalize final product specifications·  Address design and quality issues·  Submit and mange VPCRs at CMI·  Work with a cross functional NPower team to:·  Identify areas of product improvement·  Introduce new products to the marketplace·  Work with technical publications for service information as well as key suppliers ·  Educate and train internal and external customers·  Participate in national and regional Market Associations as required (NFPA 20, UL STP & NEMA  SC10) Critical Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities by Dimension:Functional/Technical·  Able to multi-task in a fast paced work environment·  Excellent customer support skills encompassing the “Customer Support Excellence” philosophy and standards.·  Ability to use a computer and keyboard to complete work.  Experience with MS Office tools such as Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Project, Acess etc. ·  A bachelor degree in Engineering is required and 5 yrs of Product Management experience is preferred·  Intimate knowledge of WW Fire Pump Standards (NFPA 20, DIN…., BS…., LPCB etc)·  Up to 20% travel is required Quality/Improvement·  Ability to contribute to system improvement process·  Commitment to task and results oriented·  Strong commitment to safety Teamwork·  Excellent communication skills (active listening, writing, speaking & telephone)·  Ability to work through conflict and use effective problem solving techniques·  Ability to develop & maintain effective working relationships with customers and co-workers.·  Possess a strong work ethic and positive attitude·  Proven ability to influence cross functional teams without formal authority Email or fax your resume and cover letter to: npowerhr@cummins.com / 651-286-2111 Cummins NPower is an Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity Employer.  We welcome all applicants including female, minority, veteran and disabled candidates Visit www.cumminsnpower.com to learn more about us.  Company: Cummins NPower Location: 54115 Job Category: Marketing/Product Company: Cummins NPower Cummins Inc. has been named to the list of the Top 50 companies for diversity by DiversityInc.
