Gear Manufacturing Engineer

If so, and you have gear manufacturing experience, this job could be yours!The Gear Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for the analysis of manufacturing process flow and capacity conditions within the manufacturing facilities through observation, investigation and simulation. This is a manufacturing environment with a low volume / high mix product offering (CNC Machining Operations producing large metal parts, gearing, etc.). Primary Responsibilities Include:- Identify and pursue cost saving and process improvement opportunities. - Communication of process changes within machining and gearing areas to shop personnel.. - Development, project management and implementation of capital projects. - Schedule and organize presentations and negotiations with potential vendors. - Organize and facilitate training for new processes. - Manufacturing Engineering degree or 5-10 years of applicable job experience including gearing manufacturing and machining processes. - BSME or strong technical AS degree with appropriate experience. - Experience with gear and cutting tool technology / processes including CNC programming concepts for machine tools including gear cutting equipment. - Proven knowledge of machine tool specifications and capabilities. - Understanding of manufacturing systems including Quick Response Manufacturing (QRM.- A working knowledge of material properties such as steel alloys, surface finish, and hardness characteristics. - A working knowledge of geometric tolerances and constraints and their relationships to gearing applications. - Self-driven achiever, with demonstrated effective interpersonal communication, relationship building, organizational and project management skills.- Prior experience effectively interacting with a highly skilled unionized workforce is also a plus. implement, test, UTS, FEA shafting, mechanical assemblies, casting, weld, manufacturing, project management, communication, power, high load, seals, gear cases, process improvement, John Deere, Caterpillar, unionEmail your resumePlease click here,or copy and paste the following link into your email browser, to email your resume.
