Applicant must have a valid Journeyperson card or have eight (8) years of combined education / practical trade-related experience and can prove same with properly notarized documents or work record.

-High School Diploma/GED Required.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Conducts, maintains, tests and repairs electrical/electronic, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems and components. Applies knowledge of electrical/electronics and mechanical principles in determining equipment malfunctions and applies skills in restoring equipment to operation. Provides skilled mechanical and electrical/electronic support to all areas of Manufacturing.

SAFETY:
• Must maintain proper housekeeping and safety standards
ie: Proper use of personal protective equipment

• Proper use of safety devices, such as lock-out, as required

• Safe operation of all machinery, tools and equipment

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Troubleshoots and repairs mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical/electronic equipment including but not limited to programmable controls, numeral controls, power supplies, drives, gages and test equipment.
• Plans and performs work requiring a thorough knowledge of electrical/electronic and mechanical theories and principles, writing specifications, local and national electrical codes, properties of various materials, and principles of operation and application of electronic equipment.
• Familiar with machinery in the facility
• Ability to work on & troubleshoot Programmable Logic Controllers.
• Ability to work on & troubleshoot touch screen panels
• Ability to read electrical schematics
• Ability to operate an oxygen acetylene torch, hand held Arc Welder, hand held Mig & Tig Welder, & various grinding equipment
• Ability to design & fabricate various fixtures, jigs, workstations & workstation tools
• Ability to work on various building and grounds systems
• Must be able to read blueprints
• Must be able to be licensed to operate industrial fork trucks all types or receive the appropriate training
• Must be able to work from an elevated platform
• Ability to work to customer schedules, contact vendors and procure materials
• Willing to travel to vendors or to procure materials, work overtime, weekends, holidays and shutdowns when necessary
• Willing to attend training courses either on or off site
• Must be able to use various hand tools
• Good attendance record and minimal disciplinary write ups
• Must be able to work independently, follow through and complete tasks, and handle a multi task workload


• Installs, starts up and shuts down equipment in accordance with company safety procedures for machine activation and shutdown and in line with OSHA requirements.
• Advises technicians and specialist of operation procedures and requirements for working safely with electrical/electronic and mechanical equipment and components.
• Informs appropriate management, technicians and specialist of potential electrical/mechanical problems and inherent dangers involved.
• Maintains company-required performance and maintenance records for identified equipment. Currently using Datastream 71.
• Performs preventive maintenance functions as directed.
• Assists maintenance personnel with technical troubleshooting.
• Assists and trains other maintenance and/or other technical level employees.
• Performs other duties as required.
 Overtime is often a requirement of this position.
